All square

This was a closely fought and very tiring battle in the heat of the Friday afternoon mugginess. The greens lined up with Fraser, Pete, Rich, Lee and Mark against colours of Guy, Daz, Tim, Tony and Marcus. Rich was playing in the unfamilar position of sweeper at the beginning and he and Lee were left wondering how on earth they had managed to concede three goals without reply. Keith arrived and joined the greens to bolster their beleaguered defence. This had some effect as the greens were able to score three goals of their own without reply.

The rest of the match was an evenly matched contest with moments of pure brilliance (Guy's exquisite chipped pass to Marcus in the crowded area to head in) and moments of pure crapness (Rich missing a virtually open goal from 5 yards) All in all it was a fair contest and one that was inevitably going to end in a draw, which it duly did!

Blog is Back

I think it is time to resurrect the old blogspot. I'm feeling in that kind of mood I guess. I don't know how long it will last...maybe 1 game, maybe a whole month ;)
So I'll write summat about tonight's game here if you can be arsed to come back and read it...
